The Secrets We Keep

Once in a while there comes a film that has a stellar cast with such a broad acting range that you watch the trailer and think, “I wonder how they’ll pull this role off"?”. I feel this way about The Secrets We Keep. While Noomi Rapace is no stranger to thrillers (check out Angel of Mine if you haven’t yet - she was amazing in that), I know Chris Messina best from his role as Danny Castellano in The Mindy Project. To see him in a wildly different role wasn’t disconcerting at the very least - a testament to what we’ve always known - that Chris Messina can play any part and make it his own. The Secrets We Keep seems like another proof of that.

In post-WWII America, a woman (Rapace), rebuilding her life in the suburbs with her husband (Messina), kidnaps her neighbor (Kinnamen) and seeks vengeance for the heinous war crimes she believes he committed against her. The film is directed by Yuval Adler from a script by Yuval Adler and Ryan Covington.

The Secrets We Keep opens on cinemas on November 19.
